Background and Aims
========================
The Iberoamerican Knowledge Graph and Semantic Web Conference is an international scientific conference series devoted to knowledge graph and semantic web research. The second edition of the conference KGSWC 2020, will take place in Mérida, Yucatán. México July 2020. The goals of the conference are (i) to provide a forum for the semantic web community, bringing together researchers and practitioners in industry to share ideas about R&D projects and (ii) to increase the adoption of the semantic web technologies in the region.

Artículo aceptado en INCISCOS 2017

Paper accepted: Methodological Guidelines for Publishing Library Data as Linked Data. This paper will be presented at the 2nd International Conference on Information Systems and Computer Science INCISCOS 2017, Quito, Ecuador in few days. The paper will be submitted to IEEEXplore and others indexing services.

Celebramos el 5to aniversario del grupo de investigación

El 14 de noviembre del 2012 se crea el grupo de investigación de web semántica. Cinco años después, el grupo exhibe la misma vitalidad y motivaciones que nos incentivaron a realizar investigaciones en el contexto de la web semántica y los datos enlazados. Queremos agradecer a todos los estudiantes y profesionales que han contribuido a que este colectivo se mantenga en la vanguardia investigativa de la UCI y el país. En los próximos días haremos un recuento de estos primeros cinco años. Por lo pronto, felicitamos a todos los miembros del grupo que se encuentran activos en sus investigaciones.

Curso de posgrado "Introducción a la Web Semántica"

Del 12 al 16 de febrero del 2017 se realizará en la UCI la VII Escuela Internacional de Invierno. En esta ocasión se impartirá el curso de posgrado “Introducción a la Web Semántica”. El curso tiene como objetivo caracterizar los principales estándares, metodologías y herramientas que soportan el desarrollo de la web semántica con particular énfasis en el ciclo de proyectos para la publicación y consumo de datos estructurados en la web siguiendo los principios de los datos enlazados.
